Power crisis in RWD Palm & RWD Fern

When the project was initially planned, it was promised to all the buyers that the number of houses will be less. But then since they couldn't sell many of the houses, RWD changed their plans and decided to go ahead with apartments instead of Villas in Phase 3. This is creating a lot of problems and the latest one is electricity. For the whole colony only one 250KVA Transformer is installed. This is just adequate for the residents needs. With more number of houses being occupied and summer is heating up, the transformer fuse blows out when many people switch on the ACs. There has been incidents where there is no power for the whole night and sometime whole day on the weekends when the power consumption reaches its height. Residents have contacted RWD for installing another transformer but there is no positive reply from them yet.

I unfortunately ended up in Palms.The power(electricity) is soo much now almost every night the sleep gets disturbed for atleast 5-10 times and some nights have to be spent sleepless.The most frustrating part is the lack of initiative from the junky management to fix the issue.I strongly urge all potential buyers to think a million times before planning to buy a property in here.

I unfortunately live in Palms.It has been now weeks since everyone had a good night sleep.The management has not initiated any response to resolve power crisis.RWD has the worst management people.KIND ADVISE:DONT EVEN THINK OF BUYING A PROPERTY HERE.

With the problem still not over, I can only laugh at those rental advertisements in the HINDU welcoming new Bakras into this "Powerless" community. I mean "Power" as in electricity. This community has become a laughing stock of everyone outside including the EB Department for having planned so pathetically.

Even we have fell in the same pit:(

too late to think!! We are in US now and not even talk with the management directly...but willing to extend full co-operation for the voices other residents rise..Apart from 'Power' problem..I have an issue...now as they included FERN (around 170 houses more)who also use the common clubs(which we were not informed earlier) cant we get some share of that 1 lack(club membership fee) back?? Any idea...please let us know:(

@Mangala19,
If you have not been notified, the Gym, swimming pool and other amenities are actually owned by RWD - not by the owners association. They will continue to own that even after the association is formed. The worst thing of all, is that the monthly maintenance amount that we pay is including the cost of maintaining those amenities. This is ridiculous, but our representatives are not giving an option to opt out of that maintenance. I tried talking to RWD, but they refused to talk and said that they will talk only to those two "elected" representatives. I have no clue of what to do. If you know more house owners, probably we can form a group and talk with RWD

This condition is as on JUNE 25th...
I took a house for rent here in PALM with lot of enthusiasm,as I loved the atmosphere though work is still going on.
But its been a pathetic journey till now.I dont know why the management is like this.Its been 2 weeks since i have slept nicely.Most of the nights POWER wont be there.Even a small rain would be enough,but I can still see light glowing outside the PALM boundary without any probs.And if I keep the windows open..THATS IT..My sleep will be gone still more due to ENDLESS mosquitoes.
I AM HAVING A PATHETIC TIME HERE IN PALM.
PLEASE DONT EVEN THINK OF COMING HERE..
